CITF gives priority to the building, construction and allied industry.However, government and parastatal employees and individual Batswana interested in the building, construction and allied industry training are encouraged to apply in order to acquire the skills necessary for employment or self employment in the building, construction and allied industry.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Basic Education is the minimum entry requirement, however, industry can recommend people with vast experience to train in specific modules without meeting the minimum requirements.
Where Training Takes Place
Training is carried out at CITF main centre in Gaborone. Where there are government mega projects, CITF establish Mobile Training Units (MTU) which provides on-site or close to site skills training to acquire technical competences in the building construction and allied sector. Heavy plant training is only carried out on site because of the prohibitive costs of acquiring machinery.
