The Factories Inspectorate under the Department of Labour and Social Security in the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs and the Occupational Health Unit in the Ministry of Health have a portfolio responsibility of ensuring full compliance of all companies to the Factories Act and related regulations. Conversely we do not have the mandate to carry out such functions or duties, and our mission is to help raise awareness or conscientize the industry to the deleterious effects of ignoring health and safety. We are not policing the activities of the industry, but are just providing an advisory and knowledge enriching service. Take action now and save lives. “A thousand mile journey starts with a first step”.
